What to expect this year

Event Programme

This year, we continue to explore the beautiful names of our Creator by focusing on “Avenues to the Almighty”. Our presenters will share insights on an array of topics such as heading towards Allah, a heart's remedy, putting our true priorities into perspective and much more.

This, with the ultimate purpose of preparing for our return to Him with sound hearts.

Join us for a day of talks, panel discussions, nasheeds and spoken word, as our presenters share their knowledge and personal experiences, providing greater insights into practically implementing His Names in our lives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do I have to print out a ticket?

No, you do not have to. You can simply bring your electronic copy that was emailed to you.       Make sure to show the usher at the door your barcode on your ticket for her to scan.

Q. I don’t have an email address. How can I get a ticket?

You are able to register with your own details, but using the email address of a friend or family member. You can then either obtain a physical or electronic copy of the ticket from them.

Alternatively, if using the email of a third party is not an option, please provide us with the      details that are required for the registration i.e. name, surname, cell number, whether you       are a previous or current student at one of the host institutions or any other Arabic & Islamic studies institution and we will arrange for a ticket to be printed for you.

Q. I’ve registered but lost/accidentally deleted my ticket. What do I do?

You may forward us your email address and we will issue another ticket to you.

Q. Will tickets be available on the day of the event?

No. The closing date for registration is the 23rd of May and no tickets will be issued at the event

Q. I was not able to register in time for the event. Can I still come anyway?

Unfortunately there will be no entry without a ticket. However, the event will be live streamed on Mixlr.

Q. Do I need to bring anything to the event?

No, all material will be provided. Just come with an open heart

Q. Why are children not allowed at the event especially since it’s a women’s only event?

Due to the length of the event, we have found through previous experience that most young   children are not able to sit through the entire event, without requiring some form of distraction. At previous events, we have tried to accommodate mothers and children with an                 on-site child care facility. Unfortunately we were not able to obtain an area to host such a facility for children, on the event premises.

However, to accommodate those who are not able to attend, but would still love to derive      benefit, we are live-streaming the event, so that they will still be able to enjoy the Unveiling           from the comfort of their homes.

 

Q. Is this event for muslim people only?

The Unveiling is a women’s only event but it is not restricted to Muslim women only. All women are welcome to attend.

Q. Will people with physical disabilities be catered for?

Yes, there will be a designated seating area for those in wheelchairs as well as wheelchair friendly bathroom facilities
